Sacramento, California The end of the mule racing season on the California Summer Fair Circuit finds our office back in Northern California. This has been a great year for us. Two new world records were set by the infamous Black Ruby one at 440 yards; the other at 870 yards. She is amazing!

The winner of the AMRA Three Year Old Futurity was Sis-Q Skipa Libby owned by Caralee Scala. The fastest three year olds on the circuit ran for a purse of over $18,000!

Interest in mule racing keeps growing with the public betting $6,723,860 throughout the summer on the 68 races that were run at seven fairs. Purses are getting better all the time. Several times we ran for $10,000 in purse money. Not bad for a sport that only started with pari-mutuel wagering on the fairs in 1995.

If you have a coming three year old that you would like to nominate for our Futurity or would just like to know more about mule racing, please check out our website at or e-mail us at
