About AMRA
The
American Mule
Racing Association (AMRA) was formed to promote the racing of mules at
recognized distances in the sport of mule racing. The Association is
guided
by six Directors who are elected by the membership of the AMRA at their
annual meeting.
The function of the Directors is to establish and maintain
uniform standards for the sport by means of regulations enforced by
cooperation between recognized tracks; to accumulate and disseminate
information useful to Racing Secretaries in proving close competition
and the Stewards and Race Commissions in maintaining clean,
well-regulated racing; to aid in establishing positive identification
of competing mules and to keep accurate records of the performance of
all mules on recognized tracks.
