1) Natural breeding or artificial insemination of dam shall occur in California. Eligible would be artificial insemination with California semen shipped out of state and mare returns to California to foal.
2) Progeny race results shall be considered from Cal Bred registered mules only.
3) Birth of progeny utilized for race results shall occur in California.
4) Ineligible would be babies born from semen shipped from California to mares outside of California or mares/Jennets domiciled in California bred by semen from a stud outside of California.

Defined as the person who is the owner or lessee of the eligible mare or jennet as of December 31 of the calendar year in which that dam’s foals had eligible earnings or the person who owned the eligible mare or jennet on the date that the dam died.
