Clones Make California Debut!
Idaho Gem and Idaho Star will make their long awaited California debut this Wednesday in the second race at Stockton. The Allowance Race for Non-Winners of Two Races Lifetime will be contested at 350 yards and features a challenging field of seven mules including the clones.

Idaho Gem is the morning line favorite at 8-5 and will look to continue to best his sibling Idaho Star who will be the 5-2 second choice. Of interest in this race will be how Star and Gem fare in their first bid against older mules Bar JF Rock On, Victory Lane, and Classy Recruit.

??  Clash of the Titans ??
The big guns come out on Sunday when Smoking Joe and Sarah Nelson are scheduled to meet in the first Open Race of the year in California. Sarah Nelson was able to get the best of Smoking Joe in their first clash of the year at the Humboldt County Fair in Winnemucca, Nevada; however, this is a rivalry that should go back and forth all summer long.

Looking to spoil the party will be Sis-Q-Mayten who destroyed the lower divisions last year and is now only 1 speeding rating point behind Joe and 3 behind Sarah.

Wrath of Khan
Check out the rematch between Ghenghis Khan and Black Velvet in Wednesday’s opening race. Khan ran third to Black Velvet in Winnemucca on 06/04/2006 but had a tough trip and is looking for revenge against his 10 year old foe.
