AMRA World Championship Futurity - Fresno, CA

  1. For three year olds.
  2. Distance - 350 yards.
  3. Weight - 122 lbs.
  4. Entry fee - if paid by June 15th - $100.00 total
    If paid June 16 - August 31 - $300 total
    If paid September 1 or later - $500 total
  5. Berths are not transferable.
  6. If nominee is sold, the berth goes with the mule named and may be kept up by new owner.
  7. Up to 5% of entry fees may be deducted for administration.
  8. Payments must be postmarked on or before the due dates shown for the mule to remain eligible. 
  9. If there are trials and a mule fails to race in said trials after being nominated, all fees are forfeited.
  10. There will be no refunds for any reason.
  11. All owners and trainers must be members in good standing with the American Mule Racing Association.
  12. All nominees shall be registered with the ADMS.
  13. All nominees must be tattooed and must be mouthed for age by a licensed veterinarian.  Age verification form must be filled out and attached to the mule’s registration papers in the racing office.  Form available from AMRA.
  14. Names of mules must be submitted to AMRA office by August 1.
  15. Purse distribution:
    1st      55%     5th   2%      
    2nd     20%     6th   2%      
    3rd      12%     7th   1%      
    4th       7%      8th   1%
  16. All entry fee checks shall be made payable to: AMRA World Championship Futurity and sent to Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd., Sacramento, CA  95815.
  17. The AMRA reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or move the Futurity.
  18. All trials and finals will be run in accordance with the California Horse Racing Board Regulations. If more than 10 mules nominate and enter the Futurity, trials may be run. The trials may be run before the regular racing card and may be non-wagering races.
  19. Up to 10 mules with the fastest times in the trials will qualify for the Finals. 
  20. AMRA will award a trophy to the Finals winner.
