CHILLY JILLY IS THE WINNER!

Sacramento, California - California State Fair in Sacramento was the site of the Name the Baby Mule & Win Contest. Entering the contest was free and the contestant with the winning name is entitled to 10% of that mule’s earnings at all California racetracks in 2011 up to $10,000. One name a day was chosen out of all submitted over a nine day period.

Congratulations goes out to Jill Vaught of Sacramento for naming Chilly Jilly. Jill’s name was one of 2,500 names submitted to the American Mule Racing Association as a choice. The racing crowd on July 25 chose Chilly Jilly as the winning name. Good luck to Jill and Chilly Jilly in 2011.

Congratulations, to Patricia Robinson for being accepted into the United States Air Force. Best of Luck from all of us at the American Mule Racing Association!

California horse racing is the envy of the nation. Only New York is on par with California in the national picture of horse racing. A total of $3,942,447,974 was wagered by fans of California racing during FY 2008-09, and of that money 80.1 percent ($3,159,476,187) was returned to winning ticket holders.
